It's not a game - it's a pathology.
I’ve bought GW:NF quite recently. Made up to lvl 20, had quite a fun playing until... the need for money showed up. I needed some skills – I had to have gold to pay for them, same with better weapons, not to mention armor and other stuff. Farming it is called, as I got to know it, but then... WTF ? Going with 8/8 and getting 1/8 of the drops – it’s quite obvious. But going SOLO and still getting the same? Hello, did I just kill the logic ? Thought it was a joke. Loot scalling they call it, pretty mental idea to me. Anyway, I decided to buy 100k from ebay to finally get the better weapon after few weaks of miserable attempts to get rich. Got banned. Smiled. Then realised my mistake was not buying the gold, but buying the game.
They don’t like players going to do farming, so they take away logic from the game and implement loot scalling. Fine. They ban you if you buy gold from others? Fine. They tollerate chinese using houndreds of bots to gather gold and sell it on houndreds of their websites? Fine. Do I want to spend several months to finally get some money and afford new weapon/armor? Definitely not – since there’ll be GW2 and all the gold I’d collect and my weapon and my armor - will be completely useless. Am I disappointed with Guild Wars and its illogical and pretty sick economic mechanisms ? Definitely yes. Thank you and good bye.

Cry me a river. If you don't like the game, don't play it. Simple as that.

As I remember it, the money I got playing through the game, i.e thee main quest, was enough to buy everything I needed. It was only for the extra's that I needed more money, like the 15k armour or the Perfect Chaos Axe, things like that.
I agree that loot scaling isn't the best solution, I'd rather it was back to the old days, but that is really the only way to stop cookie cutter builds dominating the economy and making it a bit more fair to casual players.
But that throws up more questions. Why does it have to be fair to the casual player? Why, if I play 4 hours night each night should I not be rewarded with better loot? Well, I don't know, I guess that was the design philosophy behind Guild Wars

Sad Was Danny,
you are probably a troll. You recently bought NF, and joined just to tell us in your first posting that loot scaling sucks.
This stinks of socket puppetry.

No, it is exactly the point.
I can create x new accounts after being banned for being an (insert some unfavorable comment), and even better, I can even let them have a fake conversation where they all agree or disagree that loot scaling sucks.
Just to start one more thread on an old topic with flamebait intent, and nothing else happened so far.
Sorry, if you do not smell a troll this close to you, your nose needs updating.

To the OP:
You broke the EULA and got banned; it's a little difficult for anybody to be sympathetic.
I can see a mod visiting with a very large padlock soon.
